If you live across South Carolina — from Columbia to Charleston — and you’re looking for a therapist who works beneath the surface, you’re in the right place. Telehealth therapy South Carolina residents can access from home — no commute, no waiting room, and the same depth-focused work. I’m Jason Wasser, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist offering integrative sessions to adults statewide. If you recently relocated to South Carolina from out of state, I work with a lot of transplants who want to pick up where their last therapist left off, without starting over.
My approach is integrative and mind-body focused. That means we’re not just talking about your week — we’re working with how stress, trauma, and relational patterns live in your nervous system. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, burnout, relationship patterns you can’t seem to escape, or a sense that something feels persistently off, therapy with me goes deeper than surface-level coping strategies.
Telehealth therapy in South Carolina means you can access this level of care from your home, office, or anywhere private — no commute, no waiting room, the same quality of work.
My telehealth practice in South Carolina primarily serves high-functioning adults who are managing well externally but feel stuck, disconnected, or chronically depleted. Common presenting areas include:
Jason works with South Carolina adults navigating anxiety, burnout, relationship stress, and the kind of low-grade dissatisfaction that’s hard to name but easy to feel. Telehealth therapy South Carolina clients experience with Jason is integrative and depth-focused — built for people who want more than surface-level coping strategies. If you’ve been thinking about starting therapy but haven’t taken the step yet, a free 15-minute consultation is the simplest place to begin. The American Psychological Association notes that consistent access to a well-matched therapist is one of the strongest predictors of lasting progress.
I hold an active LMFT license in South Carolina and provide telehealth therapy to clients anywhere in the state — this isn’t limited to a specific list of cities or zip codes. Below are a few of the communities I currently work with as examples, not a complete or exclusive list. Every session is conducted securely online, and I don’t maintain a physical office in South Carolina.
South Carolina is a state of contrasts — the urban energy of Columbia and Charleston, the slower rhythms of Greenville and Myrtle Beach, and rural communities throughout that often have limited access to specialized mental health care. Telehealth therapy South Carolina residents can access solves that problem directly. Wherever you are in the state, meaningful therapeutic support happens from your home or office — no long drives, no disrupted workdays, and no need to compromise on the quality or depth of care you receive.
Yes. I hold an active LMFT license in South Carolina, as well as Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, New Jersey, Missouri, Massachusetts, and Tennessee.
Yes — telehealth licensure is based on where you are located at the time of the session. As long as you’re physically in South Carolina (or one of my other licensed states) when we meet, we can work together.
The first session is a 50-minute intake. We cover what brought you in, relevant history, and what you’re hoping to shift. I’ll share my initial impressions and we’ll decide together whether it’s a good fit before committing to ongoing work.
I work on a private-pay basis. I do not bill insurance directly, which keeps our work confidential and free from limitations on session frequency or approach. I can provide a monthly superbill if you choose to seek out-of-network reimbursement from your plan.
Yes. If you relocated to South Carolina from another state, you can start with me as long as you’re physically in South Carolina during our sessions — that’s how telehealth licensure works. A lot of my South Carolina clients are people who moved in the last year or two and want continuity of care rather than starting over with someone new. We can pick up wherever your last therapy left off.
