If you live across Tennessee — from Nashville to Memphis — and you’re looking for a therapist who works beneath the surface, you’re in the right place. Telehealth therapy Tennessee residents can access from home — no commute, no waiting room, and the same depth-focused work. I’m Jason Wasser, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist offering integrative sessions to adults statewide. If you recently relocated to Tennessee from out of state, I work with a lot of transplants who want to pick up where their last therapist left off, without starting over.
My approach is integrative and mind-body focused. That means we’re not just talking about your week — we’re working with how stress, trauma, and relational patterns live in your nervous system. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, burnout, relationship patterns you can’t seem to escape, or a sense that something feels persistently off, therapy with me goes deeper than surface-level coping strategies.
Telehealth therapy in Tennessee means you can access this level of care from your home, office, or anywhere private — no commute, no waiting room, the same quality of work.
My telehealth practice in Tennessee primarily serves high-functioning adults who are managing well externally but feel stuck, disconnected, or chronically depleted. Common presenting areas include:
Tennessee’s mental health landscape varies sharply between its urban centers and the stretches in between. Nashville and Memphis have options, but wait lists are long and cultural fit is often elusive. Telehealth therapy Tennessee residents can access through Jason eliminates those barriers. You can connect from Knoxville, Chattanooga, the mid-state corridor, or anywhere else with a reliable internet connection — the quality of the clinical work doesn’t change based on your zip code.
The clients Jason works with across Tennessee are typically adults who are high-functioning on the outside and struggling underneath — carrying anxiety, marriage stress, burnout, or long-standing family patterns they’ve never had space to address. Telehealth therapy Tennessee brings that work directly to where you are. Sessions are held over secure video and fit into the rhythm of a working week without requiring you to commute across town or take half a day off to keep an appointment. A free 15-minute consultation is the simplest next step. Consistency matters more than location when it comes to real therapeutic progress, and teletherapy in Tennessee makes that consistency realistic. The American Psychological Association notes that consistent access to a well-matched therapist is one of the strongest predictors of lasting progress.
I hold an active LMFT license in Tennessee and provide telehealth therapy to clients anywhere in the state — this isn’t limited to a specific list of cities or zip codes. Below are a few of the communities I currently work with as examples, not a complete or exclusive list. Every session is conducted securely online, and I don’t maintain a physical office in Tennessee.
Yes. I hold an active LMFT license in Tennessee, as well as Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, New Jersey, Missouri, Massachusetts, and Tennessee.
Yes — telehealth licensure is based on where you are located at the time of the session. As long as you’re physically in Tennessee (or one of my other licensed states) when we meet, we can work together.
The first session is a 50-minute intake. We cover what brought you in, relevant history, and what you’re hoping to shift. I’ll share my initial impressions and we’ll decide together whether it’s a good fit before committing to ongoing work.
I work on a private-pay basis. I do not bill insurance directly, which keeps our work confidential and free from limitations on session frequency or approach. I can provide a monthly superbill if you choose to seek out-of-network reimbursement from your plan.
Yes. If you relocated to Tennessee from another state, you can start with me as long as you’re physically in Tennessee during our sessions — that’s how telehealth licensure works. A lot of my Tennessee clients are people who moved in the last year or two and want continuity of care rather than starting over with someone new. We can pick up wherever your last therapy left off.
